The wardens could not have been more helpful and made sure everything was alright for our stay. The toilets and shower block is needing upgraded Think that will happen in time toilets and showers were kept spotlessly clean. Well stocked site shop. Lovely flowers and hanging baskets all added to a perfect stay. The site itself kept tidied. Thank you our first visit it won't be the last. It's also in a great location - Seahouses just up the road, Beadnell Village a short walk away, most of Northumbria accessible with a car. We had a great time here. However, if you're looking to use it for a something other than a base chilling out, staying on there most of the time I'd recommend you look elsewhere. Simply put, this site is not ideal if you're just camping. The facilities simply don't allow it. As other reviewers have pointed out, the fact that everything revolves around the one building causes a lot of issues for a site of this size. I also avoided the food van they have on site because it's roughly 10 metres away from the sites only chemical disposal point. Finally - our pitch was out of range of the site's WiFi - I purchased a token and had to site outside the office so I could download some of my Netflix shows it took long enough, the speed is dreadful! So to sum up, I don't recommend this place if you're young adults simply wanting to camp. The wardens were very helpful especially as we had awning trouble during high winds There was only my daughter , myself and twin 4 year olds and couldn't have managed without their help. However the downside to this site are the washrooms which are terrible only six showers between a huge amount of pitches and to be perfectly honest washrooms not up to standard. There is no family facilities for showering which doesn't help. Although there is a disabled room but we were told we could not use this for the children.
